Paper Rosette Cupcakes

A perfect accompaniment to a modern striped cake, these whimsical but tailored cupcakes complete the look.

Step 1:

Ice cupcakes in buttercream and place in the fridge. On a surface dusted lightly with powdered sugar, roll out the fondant to 1/8" thickness. Use a circle cutter to cut the same diameter circles as the cupcakes and place them on top.

Step 2:

Add Pinwheels: Remove rosettes from backing. Press a toothpick onto the adhesive dot on the back of each pinwheel. Place a piece of tape on the back to secure the rosette to the toothpick. Insert in the cupcakes. Wrap each cupcake in twine.
