STEP 1: MELT THE CANDY COATING AND DIP THE OREOS
Heat some of the candy coating on half power in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. (Do not overheat the coating or it may burn).
Spoon coating into each mold cavity. Only fill them 1/3 of the way, then tap the mold on the counter to even the coating.
Press an Oreo into each cavity. Place the mold in the freezer for 15 minutes or so, until very firm and then flip the cookies out. (They should pop out easily). Then, let the cookies come to room temperature before adding the finishing touches, 20 minutes or so.
STEP 2: ADD FINISHING TOUCHES
Once at room temperature you can decorate the cookies with various faces. Use a toothpick to dab the back of the eyes and heart sprinkles with some additional melted coating and then use the food coloring marker to finish.
We made the tongues by breaking a heart sprinkle in half before attaching it to the mouth.
