Gold and Silver Chocolate Santas
Yield: 1 lb. of coating makes approx. 8 suckers.
A mold does all the work to create these simple yet impressive chocolate suckers. The perfect glittery favor at your holiday soiree.
STEP 1: MELT COATING AND FILL MOLD
Place the coating in a heat proof bowl and place in the microwave. Melt on 1/2 power, stirring frequently. Remove before completely melted and stir by hand until entirely melted. (Do not overheat coating) Using a spoon, carefully fill each mold. Tap the entire mold gently on a flat surface to remove any air bubbles. Place sucker sticks in the mold and twist slightly to make sure the end is submerged in the coating. Place in the fridge until very firm, 15 minutes or so.
STEP 2: WRAP IN FOIL AND ADD TAPE
Once firm, flip chocolates out. Wrap each in two layers of foil and use a q-tip or your fingers to gently rub the foil into the indented areas of the sucker. Repeat with remaining coating. Wrap tape around each stick to adhere and trim ends with scissors.
