A little fondant and a few sprinkles transform ordinary gingerbread cookies into kid friendly Christmas canines. Mix and match sprinkles to make your own sweater patterns and to easily personalize your treats!

Prepare gingerbread and chocolate cookie dough recipes according to the directions on the RECIPE links. Roll and bake the cookies in dog shapes.

Next, on a surface lightly coated with powdered sugar, roll out a handful of fondant very thinly. Use a cookie cutter to cut out a dog shape.

Use your craft knife to trim the fondant into a sweater shape and discard the extra pieces.
