How To Make Bunny Silhouette Chocolates
These modern and super simple rabbit silhouette chocolates only take two steps to make and are ready in no time at all. Melt chocolate or candy coating and spoon it into our fancy frames chocolate mold. Then, roll out some colored fondant and use our rabbit cookie cutter to create an instant silhouette. No special skills required to create this quick and easy show stopping Easter goody.
RECIPE NOTES: A 16 oz. bag of candy coating makes approx. 8 - 10 chocolate frames.
STEP 1: MELT AND POUR CHOCOLATE
Place some candy coating in a microwave safe bowl and heat on half power, removing every 30 seconds or so to stir. Continue until melted (do not overheat the coating or it can burn).
Spoon some coating into each frame cavity and spread with the back of a spoon. Gently lift and drop the mold to settle the coating and to remove any air bubbles.
Place the mold in the fridge for 15 minutes until firm. Gently twist the mold to pop the frames out. Repeat this until you use up all of your candy coating.
STEP 2: ADD FONDANT SILHOUETTES
On a surface dusted lightly with powdered sugar, roll out some fondant very,very thinly. Use the bunny cookie cutter to cut out the top third of the bunny shape.
Place the bunny shape inside a frame and trim any excess with a craft knife or paring knife. Remove the silhouette and brush the back with a very light coating of water and reattach it to the front of the frame.
Repeat with various colors of fondant. Voila! Now, they're done!
