Mr. Bunny Chocolate Sucker How-To
4 ingredients and retro appeal make these simple bunny suckers an instant hit. Colored sugar bow ties and ears are an easy-peasy way to dress a simple chocolate mold.
STEP 1: Fill Molds With Candy Coating
Place the coating chocolate in the microwave and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring in between each interval. Remove the coating when it's 3/4 melted and continue to stir until completely melted (do not overheat). Spoon the coating into the mold and then firmly tap the mold on the counter to remove any air bubbles. Insert the sticks and rotate them to make sure they are submerged in the coating. Place in the freezer until firm, 15 minutes or so.
STEP 2: Coat Ears and Bow Ties, Wrap Sucker Sticks
Once firm, remove the bunnies and wrap each sucker stick in tape by cutting a piece the length of the stick and adhering the piece vertically. With a paintbrush, very lightly coat the inside bunny ears in piping gel and sprinkle with pink sanding sugar. Repeat the same process on the bow tie using pastel green sugar.
