NOTE: One 16 oz. bag of white candy coating will be enough to make 18 finished Oreo Mummy Cookies.
Star by placing 1/4 of the bag of white candy coating discs in a microwave safe cup. Heat in the microwave on half power, removing every 30 seconds to stir. Keep doing this until the coating is melted, but be sure to avoid over heating the coating or it will burn and be ruined.
Next, fill each cavity 1/3 full with candy coating. (You will need less than you think you do, so resist the tempation to overfill the cavity)
Press an Oreo into each cavity, but be sure not to press it all the way to the bottom or you will see the cookie through the coating when you pop out the mold.
When all 6 cavities are full, place the mold in the freezer for about 15 minutes, until very firm.
Once firm, flip the mold and pop out the cookies onto a parchment covered tray. Repeat this process until you have 18 cookies. Make sure the cookies come to room temperature before the next step.
Place the remaining 1/4 bag of coating discs in the microwave bowl and heat on half power until melted, stirring often. Once melted, add a few drops of vegetable oil and stir until your coating is very fluid and is easy to drizzle. Add a few extra drops of oil as necessary.
Then, dip a fork in the coating and drizzle it back and forth over the cookies to get a "mummy" effect. Don't worry about them being perfect or symmetrical. These are supposed to be whimsical!
Place a dab of coating on the back of each eyeball and add the eyes to the cookies. Voila! They're done!
