How To Make Undie Cookies

Fun and a little bit cheeky, these Valentine's Day underwear cookies are the perfect treat to share with your sweetie. Dress your cookies in a thin layer of fondant and then use a stitching tool to give them texture. Add heart sprinkles to dress them up and turn these undies into "fundies". Easy and so cute!

Prepare the dough according to Cakegirls Ultimate Sugar Cookie Recipe. Once chilled and ready, roll and cut the cookies using the swim trunks cutter and the bikini bottom cutter. NOTE: The bikini bottom cutter is bigger than the swim trunks so once they were on the tray, but unbaked, I trimmed the sides of the bikini bottoms to shorten them a bit.

On a surface covered lightly with powdered sugar, roll a small portion of white fondant out very thinly, 1/8" or so. Use your cookie cutters to cut out fondant shapes.

Transfer bikini bottom fondant piece to a cutting surface and use a craft knife to modify the shape to match the cookie size. I also added a scallop at the top and trimmed the legs a bit to get a cuter look.

Place your fondant on top of the cookie to make sure it fits and then stretch a bit if necessary. Use a paintbrush and a light coating of water to adhere the pieces of fondant to the tops of the cookies.

Then, use your stitching tool to create texture around the edges. Switch between the different wheels to get a smooth, wavy or stitched texture.

This is the easiest part! Just squeeze a tiny dot of piping gel on top of the cookie wherever you want to stick a heart and then adhere a sprinkle hearts to create a pattern.
