All my kiddos are chocolate fanatics, while my hubby’s all about the sweeter, milder vanilla vibe.

So, to keep everyone happy, I came up with the perfect solution: marble cupcakes. And let me tell you, the way those light and dark swirls blend in (yup, the “marble” effect everyone’s gushing about) simply looks  DIVINE as the star of any party!

Why We Can’t Stop Talking About Marble Cupcakes Recipe

  • The delightful vanilla-chocolate combo in every single bite is what the magic’s all about. Say goodbye to playing favorites! And with that swirly marble pattern, each mouthful brings a new surprise. You’ll hit a pocket of vanilla at one moment and dive into chocolatey heaven in the next!

  • And trust me, they’re a breeze to whip up: just one main batter with some extra ingredients for the chocolate swirl, and you’re golden! Plus, they’re portion-controlled, easy to gobble up, and loved by folks of all ages. Seriously, it’s hard to find anything wrong with these gorgeous babies.

How To Make Marble Cupcakes

Cake Batter

Step 1.

First off, grab a bowl and crack in four eggs. Give them a good beat for about a minute!

Toss in a cup of sugar, whisk until nice and fluffy, then pour half a cup of oil and two teaspoons of vanilla essence. Mix everything until it’s all nicely combined.

Step 2.

It’s time to add our dry ingredients! Sift 2 cups of flour and 2 teaspoons of baking powder into the bowl, then add six tablespoons of milk. Grab a spatula and mix it all up until you’ve got a smooth batter.

Step 3.

Onto the chocolate swirl! Scoop about 4 tablespoons of the batter into a smaller bowl. Sift in 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder before adding 2 teaspoons of milk. Stir until smooth and lump-free.

Step 4.

Grease a cupcake tray with some oil, and don’t forget to pop in cute cupcake liners! Throw about 3 tablespoons of batter into every cup, then give the tray a little tap to get rid of any nasty air bubbles.

Step 5.

Move your chocolate mixture into a piping or plastic bag; snip off one corner and squeeze the mixture into the cupcake batter. Get wild with the patterns however you want, and use a small toothpick to swirl it around for that awesome marble effect!

Step 6.

Finally, pop the tray into the oven (preheated at 356°F). Bake away for 12-15 minutes. When they’re all nice and baked, take ’em out, let ’em cool down a bit, and dig in!

Note

You can swap cocoa powder for chocolate, but a heads-up: do not use semisweet or milk chocolate for your batter.

Their flavor’s a bit weak, and you don’t want your chocolatey punch to get lost in the mix, right? Instead, go for something stronger, like 60-70% cacao chocolate!
